Terms of Service
Last updated
1. Agreement
By using ScanAble (the “Service”), you agree to these Terms. If you do not agree, do not use the Service.
2. What we offer
ScanAble runs automated WCAG 2.2 accessibility audits against web pages you specify and produces a PDF report. The Service is provided as-is with the limitations set out below.
3. Your account and eligibility
Single PDF reports are available without an account. API access and the Developer Dashboard require an account. You must be at least 18 years old and able to enter a binding contract.
4. Acceptable use
- Only submit URLs you are authorized to scan.
- Do not use ScanAble to perform load testing, denial-of-service attacks, or bypass authentication.
- Do not reverse engineer, resell, or white-label the Service without a written agreement.
- Respect the rate limits of each plan. Repeated abuse may result in suspension.
5. Payment
- Single PDF report: USD $9, one-time, charged at checkout via Stripe.
- API subscriptions: billed monthly in advance via Stripe. You can cancel at any time via the Stripe Customer Portal.
- All prices are in US dollars unless stated otherwise.
6. Refunds
See our Refund Policy.
7. Scan accuracy and limitations
The Service uses automated tooling (axe-core). Automated tests can reliably catch approximately 30-50% of WCAG violations. A clean ScanAble report does NOT guarantee full WCAG compliance, and a report does NOT constitute legal advice. For legal compliance assurance, combine automated scans with manual review by a qualified accessibility specialist.
8. Warranty disclaimer
THE SERVICE IS PROVIDED “AS IS” AND “AS AVAILABLE” WITHOUT WARRANTIES OF ANY KIND, WHETHER EXPRESS OR IMPLIED, INCLUDING THE IMPLIED WARRANTIES OF MERCHANTABILITY, FITNESS FOR A PARTICULAR PURPOSE, AND NON-INFRINGEMENT.
9. Limitation of liability
TO THE MAXIMUM EXTENT PERMITTED BY LAW, SCANABLE’S TOTAL LIABILITY TO YOU FOR ALL CLAIMS IS LIMITED TO THE AMOUNT YOU PAID US IN THE 12 MONTHS PRIOR TO THE CLAIM. WE ARE NOT LIABLE FOR INDIRECT, INCIDENTAL, SPECIAL, OR CONSEQUENTIAL DAMAGES.
10. Termination
You may stop using the Service at any time. We may suspend or terminate accounts that violate these Terms or pose a security or abuse risk. API subscription cancellations take effect at the end of the current billing period.
11. Changes
We may update these Terms. Material changes will be announced via email (for subscribers) or on this page at least 14 days in advance.
12. Governing law
These Terms are governed by the laws of the United States and the state in which ScanAble’s operating entity is registered, excluding conflict-of-law rules.
